Serve

I am the vine; you are the branches.  If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.  John 15:5

Emmanuel Lutheran Episcopal Church believes that service to our community, especially those in need, is an important part of our Christian life.

Emmanuel is home to Bridging the Gap, outreach ministries that include Addie's Attic, Everyday Basic Essentials, the Community Warming Center, Drop-In Center, Resource Connection & Support and the Community Helping Fund.  Check out BTG at https://www.btgaugusta.org/ to learn about these outreach programs and how you can help.

Other outreach efforts include:

Farrington School Program.  Throughout the school year, snacks and other supplies that help children in need are provided.

Augusta Food Bank.  Donations of food and money are provided regularly to the Augusta Food Bank.  Donations also include the School Backpack Program for children.

School Supplies Drive.  Emmanuel is a donation site for donations of school supplies which are provided free to children in the Greater Augusta area as they return to school.

Community Supper. Emmanuel volunteers prepare the community supper at South Parish Congregational Church the first Saturday of every month.
